2027 Chevrolet Traverse High Country Gets a Major Luxury Update

Chevrolet is giving its flagship High Country trim a more premium identity for 2027, and the Traverse is the first model to receive the updated treatment. The three-row SUV combines a redesigned exterior, upgraded cabin materials and new technology while retaining the practicality that has made the Traverse a key part of Chevrolet’s SUV lineup.
A More Premium High Country Design
The 2027 Traverse High Country introduces a noticeably more sophisticated design direction.
At the front, Chevrolet replaces much of the traditional chrome treatment with a new Tritan Satin finish across the grille and headlamp accents. The SUV also receives redesigned High Country badging and new 22-inch high-gloss black, machined-face aluminum wheels.
The result is a more modern and understated interpretation of Chevrolet’s range-topping SUV trim.
An Upgraded Cabin
Inside, Chevrolet has focused heavily on materials and detailing.
The High Country gets Jet Black seating with Natural Tan accents, matching tan-edged seatbelts, debossed first-row headrests and genuine real-wood décor. The combination gives the cabin a warmer and more upscale character while maintaining the Traverse’s family-oriented layout.
Chevrolet also introduces additional premium touches throughout the interior, reinforcing the High Country’s position at the top of the Traverse range.
New Technology for 2027
Technology is another major part of the update.
A standard interior camera allows the driver to use Cabin Glance to view the second and third rows through the center display. Chevrolet is also adding Surround Vision Recorder, which can record footage from the vehicle’s exterior cameras, while Security Recording can automatically capture footage when the vehicle’s alarm is triggered.
The Traverse High Country also features a large 17.7-inch center touchscreen and available advanced driver-assistance technology, including Super Cruise. At this time, current model information from Chevrolet lists Super Cruise as standard on the High Country.
Performance and Practicality Remain
Despite the luxury-focused changes, Chevrolet has kept the Traverse’s core capabilities intact.
The High Country is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. It can also tow up to 5,000 pounds, while the Traverse offers up to 98 cubic feet of maximum cargo volume with the appropriate seats folded.
The 2027 Traverse High Country is in production at Lansing Delta Township Assembly, Michigan starting from September 2026.
